Dr. Ravaughn Williams graduated from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During her career at NCCU, she was involved in many molecular biology research projects. In 2006, she graduated from the Ohio State University College of optometry with a doctorate in optometry as well as a master of science in vision science. Her thesis for the master's degree was entitled " Repeatability of ultrasound pachymetry, orbscan topography, confocal microscopy, spectral oscillation interferometry and optical coherence tomography". Her research project sought to compare the repeatability of those five instruments for the measurement of central corneal thickness. Presently, she is the cornea and contact lens fellow with TERTC.
